Māori and European alike traversed this rugged terrain, carrying their waka (canoes) across the land to navigate between Queen Charlotte Sound and Kenepuru Sound. The very footsteps you take today follow in the path of those who sought to unite the land and sea, creating a legacy of interconnection that echoes in the waves.
On behalf of the Portage Resort family, it is our privilege to welcome you to this exquisite corner of the world. May your stay be filled with wonder, relaxation, and the discovery of all that makes the Marlborough Sounds a truly remarkable destination.Item description
